Company history

Blueprint Gaming was established in 2001 and is based in Newark. The Gauselmann Group, now Merkur Group, acquired a stake in 2008 and took full ownership in 2012. The group has since added the London-based Project development studio and set up the Lucksome studio.

Blueprint licensed the Megaways mechanic from Big Time Gaming. That deal led to Megaways versions of its own hits, including Eye of Horus Megaways and Fishin’ Frenzy Megaways. One industry source dates the licence to 2018.

Game history and notable releases

Blueprint’s best-known slot families are Eye of Horus, Fishin’ Frenzy and King Kong Cash, and it also builds licensed titles such as The Goonies. Its Megaways versions include Eye of Horus Megaways, and our King Kong Cash Even Bigger Bananas 4 review covers the latest in the King Kong series.

Industry awards include Game of the Year for The Goonies at the 2019 Gaming Intelligence Awards, Best Online Slot for Fishin’ Frenzy Megaways at the 2019 WhichBingo Awards, and Most Electric Slot for Rick and Morty Wubba Lubba Dub Dub: Jackpot King at the 2021 SlotsWise Gaming Awards.
