Novomatic was founded in 1980 by Johann Graf, who remains its owner, and is based in Gumpoldskirchen, Lower Austria. It is a large land-based and online gaming group. Greentube, its online gaming studio, was acquired in 2010, and it took a 52% stake in Ainsworth Game Technology in 2018.
