Company history
Big Time Gaming was founded in 2011 in Australia by Nik Robinson. It is best known for the Megaways mechanic, which it launched with Bonanza in 2016 and later licensed to other studios.
Evolution announced the purchase on 12 April 2021 and completed it on 30 June 2021. Part of the price was paid in newly issued Evolution shares. The studio now works alongside NetEnt inside the Evolution group.
Game history and notable releases
Bonanza, released in 2016, introduced the Megaways engine and its 117,649 ways to win. Monopoly Megaways followed in 2019. Our reviews cover Bonanza Megaways and White Rabbit Megaways, and the mechanic reached other studios, including Blueprint Gaming.
